Goal/Objective

  • Promoting peace and unity in the African community in New York city by

collaborating with community leaders, faith-based organizational/religious leaders, local, city, State, and Federal partners, business groups, friends of Africa.

  • Uniting the diverse African Diaspora community to integrated into the socio-political and economic growth of the city.
  • Highlighting the Africa Center as an institution that represents the African Diaspora in New York City and one that needs to be supported by the African Diaspora community.
  • Encouraging the younger generation to embrace their African heritage. 
  • Providing a platform for experiences exchange between the youth in the continent and those born from Diaspora Africans.
  • Bring awareness to the number of African Diaspora in New York City
  • relevancy.
  • Build a permanent collaboration and a working relationship between the African Diplomatic Groups, and the communities that represent those diplomatic groups in the different municipalities.

This goal is intended to bring together the African Diaspora, and all groups of African descent particularly the youth, to celebrate the cultural origins of all these groups, while educating each other through collaboration. It is also intended to be an annual event right here in New York City with the possibility of enticing the other Africans nationally and globally to replicate the same in their home cities.
